American Airlines MD-80's Service Between PIT and DFW to Begin Friday, June 12

PITTSBURGH, PA (June 12, 2009) – American Airlines is making a "big" impression as it adds MD-80 service from Pittsburgh International Airport (www.FlyPittsburgh.com) to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) beginning Friday, June 12, 2009.
American's 140-seat MD-80, which offers 16 seats in First Class, will make two-trips daily between PIT and DFW. The larger aircraft provides passengers the opportunity to upgrade to a premium cabin.
“This aircraft upgrade marks a return of a full business class for this very important business route. Additionally, the arrival times in Dallas makes catching a connection out of American Airlines hub very convenient for our region's business and leisure travelers," said Brad Penrod, Executive Director and CEO of the Allegheny County Airport Authority.
Beginning June 12, American Airlines will have this schedule from PIT to DFW: Four flights leaving daily at 7:20 a.m., 11:50 a.m., 4:50 p.m. and 6:35 p.m. The flights arrive in Pittsburgh at 11:05 a.m., 4:05 p.m., 6:05 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.
