Coraopolis, PA -- The 171st Air Refueling Wing will participate in a higher headquarter inspection at the Pittsburgh International Airport tentatively scheduled for Saturday, August 19, 2017 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The inspection will involve base personnel and unit aircraft. During the inspection, the aircraft will relocate from the 171st flight line to several taxiways located on Pittsburgh International Airport property. The inspection is designed to validate procedures necessary for the 171st to continue operations using various locations on the airport property.
The inspection is being held in conjunction with the Allegheny County Airport Authority and the FAA. It will have minimal to no impact on air travel in the region. This is a regularly scheduled inspection.
