Life at the ACAA
The Allegheny County Airport Authority (ACAA)’s two airports – Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) and Allegheny County Airport (AGC) – are proudly redefining the role of airports in our region, our industry and our world. The ACAA offers a fast-paced work environment full of opportunity and room for growth. At the ACAA, we are going further to transform our airports, so they effectively reflect and serve the community, inspire the aviation industry and advance our region as a world leader.

Pittsburgh International Airport
PIT is the second-busiest airport in Pennsylvania, with 9.95 million passengers served in 2024. PIT offers nonstop service to 62 destinations in the U.S. and internationally – a number that is growing every year.
Like the community it serves, PIT leads with innovation. The airport is in the midst of a transformation, and in late 2025, will offer a brand-new, state-of-the-art terminal, a new multi-modal parking and transportation complex and post-security terminal modernizations featuring renovated gates and new concessions. This project, designed to enhance the passenger experience and better serve local travelers, has generated $2.5 billion in economic activity and 14,300 jobs, with 90% of materials and services sourced locally.
To support our growth, we need a strong team; that is why we are investing in our workforce. In 2023, we opened an on-site childcare center, making PIT one of the first airports in the world to offer childcare on campus for staff members. We also started hosting a now nationally recognized workforce development program, PIT2Work, to help kickstart careers in construction and the trades. This work builds on our existing innovations, including an on-site microgrid that powers the airport campus, a model sensory room accessible to all passengers and an innovation hub that tests new technology for the airport and its industries.

Allegheny County Airport
AGC is an FAA-designated reliever airport for PIT, serving private, corporate, and commercial traffic. AGC also houses an aviation maintenance school, flight training operations and two fixed-base operators.
In 2023, AGC saw its busiest year in over a decade, with more than 72,000 take-offs and landings. AGC supports corporate and recreational travel and provides access to universities, research facilities and medical centers.
