Effective July 27, 2015 the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has directed that airports must complete a Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) every two years for all individuals with Airport-issued Security IDs. This recurrent CHRC requires the re-fingerprinting or re-submittal of fingerprints stored with the Transportation Security Clearinghouse and transmittal of those to the FBI. In most cases, the fingerprint check will be managed through the Security ID Badge Office, although for domestic air carriers, the TSA allows the airport to accept, and we will accept, an airline’s notification form that they have submitted fingerprints for each individual being rebadged and that those individuals have no disqualifying crimes.
To schedule a fingerprinting appointment, Authorized Signatories (Security Liaisons) must use the following link: https://pitbadging.youcanbook.me/
1. Any fingerprint appointment that is not scheduled by an Authorized Signatory will be canceled.
2. Individuals are asked to arrive at the ID Badge Office 10 minutes prior to the beginning of their appointment.
3. Authorized Signatories are requested to ensure that appointments are booked in the US/Eastern time zone only.
4. If an appointment needs to be canceled, the Authorized Signatory must do so at their earliest convenience. Appointments can be canceled up to two hours prior to the scheduled time through the e-mailed meeting notice. Appointments that need to be canceled within two hours of the scheduled time require a call or email to the Access/ID Office.
