Workforce Development

The Allegheny County Airport Authority (ACAA) workforce is proudly redefining what Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) and Allegheny County Airport (AGC) can be for the aviation industry, the Pittsburgh community and the world.

The ACAA team leads with innovation. With a strong, ever-growing workforce, we are a force shaping the future of aviation. Committed to making a difference in the world, our workforce proudly serves every one of the over 9 million passengers who walk through our doors each year.

Our commitment to workforce development is a commitment to the communities we serve. We are encouraging opportunity throughout the Western Pennsylvania region by supporting and advancing access to careers within the aviation industry.

Supporting Our Community, Encouraging Opportunity

PIT2Work

Job Training for Careers in the Trades

In partnership with Partner4Work and Pittsburgh Gateways Corporation, PIT2Work is the airport’s pre-apprenticeship training program that offers a fast track to careers in the trades.

On-Site Childcare

Childcare Center for Infants through Pre-K

PIT’s childcare center, La Petite Academy, is available to all Allegheny County Airport Authority team members and select airport campus staff. The childcare center helps break down barriers to careers in aviation by overcoming the primary obstacle preventing parents from entering the workforce: childcare.

Getting Ready for Takeoff & Ready for Takeoff

Inspiring Careers Through Education

Getting Ready for Takeoff and Ready for Takeoff provide unique aviation learning experiences for today’s youth. Through these programs, children connect classroom learning with their lives outside of school, inspiring them to consider the real-world applications their studies have on their future careers.

Collaborate with our Workforce

Our airports are growing, and we’re looking for strong partnerships to help fuel our local economy. As we build our new airport, it is imperative that our workforce stems from the Pittsburgh region. Our new video series, Built for Pittsburgh, By Pittsburgh, highlights the local men and women building our new terminal. The story starts with the trailer, available for you to watch here. But our business opportunities don’t stop there; we want you to collaborate with us.
