Dan Connolly

Daniel Connolly was confirmed as a member of the Allegheny County Airport Authority Board on April 24, 2024.

Dan is an economic development advocate and attorney who brings substantial experience in both the private and public sectors. His previous work in Washington, D.C. included transportation safety, health care and energy consulting. As counsel for private clients, he has been involved in a variety of economic development efforts that have brought public and private investment together. He also practices Election Law and is an active member of his party.

Dan is a graduate of George Washington Law School, where his studies included labor and employment discrimination law. He was a Counsel for the Judiciary Committee of the United States Senate drafting legislation, preparing nominees for confirmation hearings, and organized hearings for the committee.

Political action and involvement in local, state and politics is a unifying element of Dan’s life. Since losing his father in a major commercial airline accident, his family formed the first ever family support group after an aviation disaster in American history. The group lobbied Congress for major reforms protecting victims’ families, and since then Dan has been involved in public affairs.
