Our Airports

The Allegheny County Airport Authority (ACAA) oversees and maintains Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) and Allegheny County Airport (AGC).

At the ACAA, we are redefining our airports to better reflect and serve the community, inspire the aviation industry and advance the Pittsburgh region’s role as a world leader.

Pittsburgh International Airport

PIT leads with innovation. We are flying nonstop to over 60 destinations, connecting Pittsburgh to the world and the world to Pittsburgh.

We are transforming our airport to meet the needs of the Pittsburgh region through a $1.7 billion modernization comprised of a new terminal, new parking complex and extensive improvements to existing facilities. This transformation project has already generated billions of dollars for the region and 14,300 jobs. With a people-first design, architecture that reflects the beauty of Western Pennsylvania and updated features, a transformed PIT is the airport Pittsburgh deserves, and it arrives in 2025.

At PIT, we are constantly reimagining what an airport can be. We are dedicated to making air travel more sustainable with an on-site microgrid – a more resilient solution for energy that powers our entire campus. We are investing in our workforce through our childcare center, available to ACAA team members, and our on-site pre-apprenticeship training program, PIT2Work. We are testing new technology on our campus via our xBridge program, providing innovative solutions to some of the most pressing challenges in the modern aviation industry. And that is just the start.

Allegheny County Airport

AGC initially opened in 1931 and has since been advancing modern corporate and recreational air travel. Located in West Mifflin, Pa., AGC is an FAA-designated reliever airport for PIT as well as for small and mid-sized private, corporate and commercial air traffic.

AGC houses one of the nation’s premier aviation maintenance schools, air medical transport services, flight training operations and two fixed-base operators (FBO) – it is also home to numerous corporate and private aircraft.
