The artist uses a 360º camera to capture a variety of in-motion environments. He uses software edit the footage to bend and fold horizon lines. The images retain the familiar quality of a location, but encourage viewers to interpret what they see from a new vantage point.
For the glass feature walls on the departures level, he focused on waterways of our region. He explored rivers, creeks, and runs, ultimately choosing views of four locations to highlight. In each of these images the camera was placed directly in the water. This creates a perspective very similar to, but slightly displaced from, the view one would have walking past on nearby trails. One can imagine looking down at a separate alien planet, but at the same time experience the feeling of being fully enveloped by a familiar place.
