Jennie Kay Snyder

Originally from the Allegheny Forest, Jennie Kay Snyder is a veteran of the LA and Austin music scenes. She was one of three founders and lead singers of Ventura, CA based Western Swing band, The Tatters, whose self-titled, critically acclaimed debut record garnered a “Top Ten DIY Picks of 2001” honor from Performing Songwriter magazine. After 911, she took a five-year hiatus to focus on songwriting in the Wallowa Mountains of Eastern Oregon, where she was awarded a scholarship to participate in the songwriting workshop by the prestigious Fishtrap Summer Gathering.

While in Austin, Texas, she occasionally sang with old friend and rockabilly queen Rosie Flores, was guest vocalist for the Texas Swing Kings and the Magnolia Band, and played keys, sang, and recorded with electronic pop/rock group The Noise Revival, led by now international composer, Nathan Felix.

In her 30-year career, she has been on bills with Southern Culture on the Skids, The Red Elvises, Townes Van Zandt, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Albert Lee, Tony Gylkeson, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Victoria Williams, Timbuk 3, and many others. She appears on dozens of live and studio recordings as a lead and backing vocalist.
