Ray Pelletier is an accomplished solo fingerstyle guitarist who performs an eclectic blend of instrumental music ranging from classical, to folk, jazz and beyond. Influenced by renowned artists such as Leo Kottke, Tommy Emmanuel, and Martin Taylor, Ray has developed a distinctive style that emphasizes the fun and joy music provides. When Ray Pelletier started his musical journey, he was struck how the guitar, in the right hands, could produce rich, complex tapestries of sound. After ten years of private instruction in the classical tradition Ray ‘turned to the dark side’ by expanding his repertoire to include other styles such as traditional, jazz, and modern. In addition, Ray composes original works which seek to blend and expand the guitar stylistic range producing new and exciting musical experiences.
