PUBLIC NOTICE: ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR RUNWAY SAFETY AREA 10-28 IMPROVEMENTS AT ALLEGHENY COUNTY AIRPORT
The Allegheny County Airport Authority has extended the public comment period on the Draft EA by 30 calendar days.
The comment period will now close at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, May 2, 2022
In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the Allegheny County Airport Authority (ACAA) released a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) on February 27, 2022 for public review and comment. The Draft EA evaluates the potential environmental impacts to improve the Runway 10-28 Runway Safety Area (RSA) at the Allegheny County Airport (AGC) located in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania. The Proposed Project is recommended in order to meet standards and safety requirements as established by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for runways serving the types of aircraft that typically access AGC.
The Draft EA will be available for public review through May 2, 2022 at the following locations:

PUBLIC COMMENTS
Written comments may be submitted via electronic-mail (e-mail) or U.S. Mail at any time during the comment period until 5:00 p.m. on May 2, 2022. The purpose of the public comment period is to receive comments on the Draft EA. Comments should be as specific as possible and should be organized so that they are meaningful and make the ACAA clearly aware of the commenter’s views, interests, and concerns. Comments received on the Draft EA, and the responses to those comments, will be disclosed in the Final EA.
