What: Members of the Allegheny County Airport Authority and local military personnel will conduct a 10 th anniversary celebration, ribbon cutting and open house for the new, expanded Military Lounge at Pittsburgh International Airport in Concourse C.
The new lounge is 1,619 square feet, an increase of 682 square feet over the former lounge in Concourse A, and has many more amenities including: two large-screen TVs, a quiet lounging/napping area, children’s area, baggage storage, a kitchenette, integral men’s and women’s rooms, and expanded views of the airfield.
Nearly 1,000 members of the military and their families visit the lounge annually, which is staffed daily by volunteer airport ambassadors.

Notes: Media wishing to get shots of the ribbon cutting should arrive by 9:40 a.m. at the airport badging office in baggage claim in order to get a pass to go airside.
