MEDIA ADVISORY: RUNNERS TO TAKE FLIGHT AT PIT SATURDAY, SEPT. 30

What:  Runners and walkers of all ages from throughout the region will participate in the second annual FlyBY 5K and 2-Mile Fun Run/Walk on the grounds and runways near hangars and aircraft at Pittsburgh International Airport.
 
When:  Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017. 5K starts at 10:00 a.m. 2 Mile Fun Run/Walk starts at 10:10 a.m.
 
Where:  100 Airside Drive, Moon Township, PA  15108 (Airside Business Park) Additional participant parking is available at the Moon Twp. Park-N-Ride lot off University Boulevard between Sheetz and Kenny Ross Toyota. (Shuttles will be provided.)
 
Please note: Race parking and start/finish line cannot be accessed via the main airport terminal roadways.
 
Why:  This family-friendly race will benefit the Allegheny County Airport Authority Charitable Foundation, a nonprofit organization established to assist members of the military, families and others traveling through the airport, provide for terminal enhancements and aviation-related scholarships.
