PUBLIC WORKSHOP SCHEDULED FOR ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT OF TERMINAL MODERNIZATION PROGRAM

PITTSBURGH – A public workshop regarding the Environmental Assessment of the Terminal Modernization Program (TMP) at Pittsburgh International Airport is scheduled for Tuesday, April 24. The workshop will provide the public a chance to review and discuss the plans with airport staff and evaluate potential environmental effects of the TMP.

The workshop will be held as follows:
-Tuesday, April 24, 4 - 7 p.m., Pittsburgh Airport Marriott, 777 Aten Rd., Coraopolis, PA 15108

The Draft Environmental Assessment (Draft EA) will be available for public review April 10 – May 10 at the following locations:

The Draft EA includes an analysis of reasonable alternatives, potential environmental impacts and mitigation measures, as appropriate, for the Terminal Modernization Program. No significant environmental impacts related to the TMP have been identified.

“The completion of the Draft Environmental Assessment is an important milestone in the transformation of Pittsburgh International, and we are encouraging public participation in this process,” said Allegheny County Airport Authority Senior Vice President, Engineering, and Planning & Capital Development, Paul Hoback.

In addition to the public workshop, the ACAA will be accepting public comments on the prepared Draft EA. After receiving public feedback, the Airport Authority will submit the Environmental Assessment to the FAA by June.
