Pittsburgh – PennDOT District 11 is announcing reconstruction work on the Pittsburgh International Airport on-ramp to eastbound I-376 in Findlay Township, Allegheny County, will begin Wednesday, July 26 weather permitting.
Beginning at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, the ramp that carries traffic from the airport to eastbound I-376 will be restricted to a single 10-foot lane through late September. Crews will conduct ramp reconstruction activities.
The ramp will remain open to traffic during construction.
The ramp work is part of the $66.34 million I-376 roadway reconstruction project. Overall work includes concrete reconstruction and rehabilitation, joint repairs, bridge deck overlays and guiderail and drainage improvements on 7.5 miles of I-376. The project will conclude in late November 2017. Swank Construction Company LLC is the prime contractor.
Motorists should use caution and allow extra time when traveling through the area.
