Lounna is the indie-folk musical project by Pittsburgh songwriter and producer Brenna Slate, with music described as “soothing and gentle, yet powerful and beautiful”. Lounna has provided local support for national touring artists such as Two Runner, Sunny War, and Brian Dunne, in addition to performances at regional festivals. Lounna's sophomore record "Garden For Winter" will be released on January 31st, 2025.

Inspired by modern artists that range from Bear’s Den to Gregory Alan Isakov to Boygenius, Slate’s songwriting combines elements of indie, folk, alternative, and americana genres that seamlessly shift from soft sonic scapes to captivating indie rock ballads. Lounna is entering into a new era with the anticipated arrival of her sophomore record, with songs portraying mental health, difficult life circumstances, and lessons learned while simultaneously highlighting what it means to remain hopeful even amidst the darkness.
