How early do the airport and airline ticket counters open?
The airport and main security checkpoint on the 2nd floor are open 24/7. Hours of operation for the airline ticket counters vary depending on the incoming and outgoing flights for the day. Please contact your airline for specific hours.
How do I request a wheelchair?
Wheelchairs can be requested at the airline’s ticket counters in addition to when booking a flight.
Does PIT offer curbside check-in?
Southwest Airlines offers Curbside Bag Check on the public departures curb from 3:00 am to 7:00 pm daily.
American Airlines offers curbside check-in on the public departures curb from 4:00 am to 11:30 am daily.

How much does it cost to park?
Pittsburgh International Airport offers a variety of safe, regularly patrolled, convenient, and economical parking options and pricing for long or short-term travel, as well as several special services to make your experience easier. Where do I pick up my rideshare?
The pick-up location for Uber, Lyft and zTrip is located outside Baggage Claim Door #4.
Does PIT have a cell phone lot?
Drivers may pull into the Extended parking lot to wait for arriving passengers as there is no charge for the first hour of parking in this lot. Once passengers have deplaned and collected their luggage they can then easily be picked up outside of Baggage Claim.
Security
Can I meet a passenger at the gate without a ticket?
Individuals may request a pass from the appropriate airline for access to meet a passenger under 18.
Does my child need identification?
Children under 18 do not need a form of identification to pass through security. However, if flying internationally, a Passport is required. Please check with your airline to see if they require specific documentation.
Are there lockers/ luggage storage at PIT?
There are no lockers or luggage storage areas at PIT.

What can I bring on the plane/through security?
Travelers packing liquids in their carry-on bags must follow TSA’s “3-1-1” rule, which says that liquids must be in containers smaller than 3.4 ounces, and these items must be placed in one quart-size bag in one bin to go through screening. Additionally, passengers must be prepared to remove jackets and shoes and place them in a bin, along with electronic devices larger than cell phones during the security screening process. Pittsburgh International Airport has TSA Pre✓® and CLEAR.
Beginning July 8, 2024, TSA Pre✓® is available exclusively at the alternate security checkpoint Monday-Friday from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. After 7 a.m. Monday-Friday and all day on weekends, TSA Pre✓® will also be available at the main security checkpoint.
CLEAR is available at the main security checkpoint. CLEAR passengers with TSA Pre✓® benefits should still use the CLEAR lane at the main security checkpoint.

Does PIT have a USO?
Located near Gate C54, the Pittsburgh International Airport Military Lounge provides a respite from the busy travel scene for members of the military and their families. Active and retired members of the United States Military are welcome to visit this special room, which provides work stations, a spot to watch television, and an area to spend time with family. Where can I smoke in the terminal?
Smoking is prohibited inside the terminal. There are designated smoking areas at the far ends on the curbs of the ticketing level and baggage claim.
Does the airport have pet relief areas?
Pet relief areas are located outside, adjacent to the pre-security baggage claim area, and inside in Concourse D.
How do I contact Lost & Found?
If you have lost an item in the airport—including parking garages, restrooms, baggage claim, restaurants, shops, and security screening areas—please contact the airport lost and found at 412.472.3525 between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Friday, and 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
